HOW IT WORKS

Weighted pressure. Total blackout. Zero added heat.

SNOZES combines three mechanisms most sleep masks only do one of. Here is exactly what each one does, and what it doesn't.

SNOZES weighted sleep mask packaging
240g of glass microbeads sewn into the mask
1

About 240g of even, gentle pressure.

Glass microbeads are sewn into small cells across the mask so they stay evenly spread instead of clumping to one side. That steady weight rests around your eyes, temples and brow, the same deep-pressure idea behind weighted blankets, just applied here at roughly 240g instead of several kilograms. It's a physical signal, not a supplement, that helps a busy mind shift from alert to rest.

2

A strapless wrap that actually stays on.

The most common complaint about weighted masks is that they slip off the moment you move. SNOZES uses a strapless 360° wrap that contours to your head instead of a single elastic band or velcro strap, so it stays in place even if you sleep on your side or toss and turn.

Dual-face fabric, cool-touch side and velvet side
3

A weighted mask that doesn't sleep hot.

Weighted usually means thicker, and thicker usually means hotter. SNOZES has two faces: a cool-touch fabric that doesn't trap heat against your skin, and a soft velvet side for cold nights. To be precise, it won't actively cool your face down, it simply avoids adding the extra heat a thick foam mask can.

4

Close to full blackout, all night.

A contoured nose bridge and full wrap around the eye area block out roughly 99% of light, so a streetlight, a partner's phone screen or an early sunrise doesn't pull you out of deep sleep.

THE RESEARCH, HONESTLY

What actually happens when you sleep, according to the data.

We're not going to tell you this mask is clinically proven. Here's what the research does say, and where it stops.

Deep pressure and sleep quality

Randomized trials on weighted blankets have linked steady, even pressure to better subjective sleep quality and higher pre-bed melatonin. Those studies were on blankets, not this mask, SNOZES applies the same principle at a much smaller scale.

BMC Psychiatry, 2024 · Journal of Sleep Research, 2022
Bedroom light and long-term health

A study following nearly 89,000 adults for almost a decade measured actual bedroom light levels with wrist sensors, not self-reported sleep quality, and found darker bedrooms consistently linked to better outcomes.

JAMA Network Open, Oct 2025
Heat is a measurable sleep thief

An analysis of 165 million nights of wearable data found that on warmer nights, people lost real, measurable sleep time. It's a strong argument for not adding extra heat to your face at night, which is why we don't use thick, heat-trapping foam.

These studies were conducted on related but different products or general sleep conditions, not on the SNOZES mask itself. We're sharing them because they explain the reasoning behind our design choices, not as proof this exact product treats any medical condition. If you have a diagnosed sleep or eye condition, talk to your doctor.

SNOZES vs a regular sleep mask

SNOZES

  • 240g of weighted pressure that helps you fall asleep faster
  • Strapless wrap that stays on all night, even on your side
  • Close to full blackout, even at sunrise
  • Cool-touch side for hot sleepers, warm velvet side for winter
  • 30-night trial, hassle-free returns

Regular sleep masks

  • Flat fabric, does nothing to help you drift off
  • Elastic strap that slides off and pulls your hair
  • Light leaks around the nose
  • One thin material, gets hot in summer
  • Paid returns, if they accept returns at all
